GUILD X ODEON
“Style is knowing who you are, what you want to say,
and not giving a damn.”
— Gore Vidal
Lately, our paths crossed with Finnish photographer Eeva Suutari who’s mainly known for her collaborations with Hypebeast, Vogue Italy and Pitti Uomo. The connection was instant! And crossing the swords inevitable.
On a beautiful summer day, we all met in Odeon, a contemporary restaurant and social club in the heart of the new Tallinn Bohemia. Dedicated to creative communities, artists and wanderers of all kind the place was designed by Portuguese interior architect Sergio Rebelo together with NY filmmaker and environmentalist Mary Jordan. In Odeon, notes of the mid-century Soviet design entwine in the most harmonious way with the style of classic diners of California – a very inspiring combination that decided the eventual vibe of our collaboration with Eeva Suutari.
We used elements of our SS’19 and SS’20 collections to create a funky – contemporary yet familiar – atmosphere. Bleach washed denim, bell-bottom jeans and floral patterns of the 70s and vibrant kimonos inspired by soul music brought the scene alive.
We also teamed up with a talented make-up artist Ellen Walge who was given completely free hands and a hairstylist Maria-Liisa Tehver who was responsible for those wonderful, 1980s hair. The models were our head designer Joan Hint together with Tallinn it girls Josefine Vaher-Vahter and Nnenna Christian
